Dec 26, 2009 · I need to find out how much clearance is in between the ATV and the plow when attached and compare that to how far each type of track extends past the front of the ATV. Currently, I am trying to find this information on the Tatou 4s, Mattracks Litefoot, Kimpex Commander Trek, and the XGEN ATV tracks. Thanks for any input. JD

Jan 7, 2011 · I own a Yamaha Kodiak 450 and have been concidering purchasing ATV tracks for 2 years now but have been holding off because I don’t know if 450cc’s is enough power/torque to run them. I would like to get a set now and use them with my Kodiak then when I need to upgrade in a few years I will step up to a 700 grizzly.

Sep 10, 2015 · Atv’s with tracks are not a snowmobile. If your only gonna make short runs under a couple miles they are ok. Not the answer for long runs. Neg: High fuel consumption, slower travel speeds, throw snow everywhere including icing up your undercarriage. I froze my rear brake up on my grizzly on one trip. Lots of steering torque.

Nov 23, 2022 · Thank you for saying this. Never really understood the argument on less weight on the ice because of tracks. It’s still the same amount of weight on a 6×10’ area of ice. I’ve heard the same argument with a tandem axle fish house vs a single axle. Tracks may help for crossing cracks cause of the bigger pad to span the crack.

Feb 17, 2016 · So I know tracks would be ideal and the best choice, but since I can’t afford them what is the best tire choice for ice fishing. I have looked at the big sand paddle tire wondering if they would work for snow like they do for sand, or am I totally wrong. Let me know what tires work and which ones don’t.
