Long before he was the WWE's Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns was a member of the Shield (also consisting of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose). They made their main roster debut in 2012, interfering in a match between Ryback and CM Punk.

WWE is advertising Roman Reigns for multiple upcoming episodes of WWE SmackDown. Reigns had been absent for a few months after WWE WrestleMania 40, where Cody Rhodes beat him to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns will make his in-ring return at Bad Blood 2024. The OTC will remain a regular on TV after that and will make regular appearances on Smackdown. WWE has unveiled the OTC's schedule. Roman became a part-timer in 2022.
