Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has strongly denied claims that Aaqib Javed is set to take over as the teams new head coach.

The announcement regarding Gillespie's dismissal may be made as early as Monday, coinciding with Pakistan's final T20I match against Australia.

But with Aaqib Javed set to be named as the head coach for Pakistan, reports suggested Gillespies term will be cut short as their Test coach.
