Palm Beach County voters decided to extend the schools' half of a 2016 penny sales tax increase. The result is a 6.5% sales tax.

Women voters in Palm Beach County are voting in much larger numbers than men so far, exceeding the statewide numbers that have been reported. As of Monday morning, Nov. 4, more than 570,000 votes have been cast in the county with 56% of them coming from women;
