ALMA, Ark. (AP) — Hair found in a truck once owned by an Arkansas man who died in prison more than two decades ago was the clue investigators needed to connect the dead inmate to the disappearance of a 6-year-old girl who went missing in 1995.

Othram Labs developed a DNA profile from a hair found in a truck that once belonged to suspect in the 6-year-old’s disappearance.

Authorities have confirmed they have new updates on the kidnapping of Morgan Nick in Arkansas, a case which has been linked with the disappearance of Melissa Witt in 1994. On Monday, Alma City Police said that they had "significant developments" on the Nick case.
