Celebrating all things winter, the McCall Winter Carnival was inspired by the Payette Lake Winter Games, first held in 1924 when a train from Boise brought 248 visitors to McCall. The official McCall Winter Carnival started in the 1960s,
Snow sculptures sparkle as McCall Winter Carnival kicks off Friday
The weekend of events starts Friday with Winter Carnival Vendor Row and Children's Torchlight Parade. The vendors will be back on Saturday, Feb. 22, and the Mardi Gras Parade kicks off at noon. Sunday, Feb. 23, will have Grand Bingo.
