Leny Yoro has returned to first team training with Manchester United ahead of their Europa League meeting with PAOK on Thursday. Yoro took part in the majority of the session but is still making his way back to full fitness and is not expected to feature against PAOK.

But with Van Nistelrooy pointing out that all three players are heading in the right direction in their attempted recoveries, Amorim could be boosted by the return of a handful of defensive options – including Leny Yoro – once he begins life in the Man United dugout on November 11th.

And with Amorim starting work as Erik ten Hag’s successor on Monday the prognosis is positive on a number of United’s injured players. Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo are both closing in on returns, as are longer-term absentees Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia.
