CAIRO — Egypt unveiled several discoveries near the famed city of Luxor on Wednesday, including ancient rock-cut tombs and burial shafts dating back 3,600 years.

Archaeologists in Egypt have uncovered new discoveries near the famed city of Luxor. They include ancient tombs of high ranking officials and artworks from the time of Queen Hatshepsut.

Cairo: Egypt on Wednesday announced new archaeological findings, including 4,000-year-old tombs belonging to high-ranking officials and artwork from the era of Queen Hatshepsut, at an ancient necropolis in the city of Luxor.

The artefacts, unearthed during a three-year-long excavation, were found in Deir al-Bahari area in the necropolis of Thebes on the west bank of the Nile

Egyptian archaeologists announced significant discoveries near Luxor on Wednesday, including 3,600-year-old rock-cut tombs, burial shafts, and artifacts from various ancient periods. The finds were made at the causeway of Queen Hatshepsut’s funerary temple in Deir al-Bahri, on the west bank of the Nile.
