After Martinook’s short-handed goal early in the second period, the Devils had lost all momentum and needed someone to step up if they wanted to tie the game, but nobody did. After a great start, the Devils lost control and fell 2-1 in Game 2 of the first-round series at Lenovo Center on Tuesday.

The New Jersey Devils are set to play Game 2 of their first-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes on April 22. The Devils' goal will be to bounce back after suffering a tough 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 1.
