When De’Aaron Fox saw that he had 48 points in the fourth quarter in a 130-126 overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, teammate Malik Monk told him, “You might as well go get 60.”

De'Aaron Fox was an unstoppable force — he erupted for 60 points Friday night, a personal and Sacramento Kings franchise record. He was clutch in doing it, scoring 26 of those points in the final 17 minutes of the game.

Fox’s 60 points breaks a franchise record that was previously held by Jack Twyman, who scored 59 on Jan. 15, 1960, against the Minneapolis Lakers. Unlike Fox, Twyman came out on the winning end for the team then known as the Cincinnati Royals.
