Organizers of an effort to expand medical marijuana in Arkansas are suing over the state's decision that it won't qualify for the ballot.

The office of Secretary of State John Thurston's office announced that the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment of 2024 failed to make it on the November ballot

The group behind a proposed medical marijuana ballot measure asked the Arkansas Supreme Court Tuesday to vacate the secretary of state’s rejection of its proposal, require the counting of submitted signatures and certify the measure for November’s election.
