(WTVA) — Severe weather pushed through north Mississippi Saturday afternoon and evening. So far, WTVA hasn’t received any reports of injuries. However, there have been a few reports of damage to homes, but the extent of the damage is unclear until the morning brings sunshine.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville was in northwest Alabama on Sunday to see if a tornado touched down last night. The weather service said a storm survey team was to look at damage in northern Colbert and southern Lauderdale counties.

The National Weather Service confirmed that three EF-1 tornadoes touched down in northwest Alabama during Saturday's severe storms.

South as storm damage mounts. According to the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, Obion County has confirmed one weather-related death in the area. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is reporting two deaths after a tornado in Lagrange.

About 22 million people are at risk for severe storms Sunday, stretching from central North Carolina southwestward to the central Gulf Coast, according to the Storm Prediction Center.

Another round of torrential rain and flash flooding came Saturday for parts of the South and Midwest already heavily waterlogged by days of severe storms that also spawned deadly tornadoes.
