Nearly 150 acres of private land in Kau could be purchased by the state under a bill being discussed in the Legislature.

The store will serve as a one-stop-shop for a mix of Japanese and American food products, full-service meat and seafood counters and a Waka Sakura conveyor belt sushi restaurant.
