The historic Mountaineer Hotel in Williamson closed down in 2022 after not being able to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Williamson City Council on Thursday discussed the owner’s plans to reopen the historic hotel. Wayne Clark, advisor for the Mountaineer Hotel, said the city’s help will speed up the process.
