Etowah River is one of the rivers that flooded on Thursday after heavy rains moved through metro Atlanta and North Georgia.

Metro Atlanta residents could run into trouble after heavy rains overnight left flooded streets across north Georgia.

"Significant flooding occurs of residential yards upstream of the gage between Upper Riverdale Road and Georgia Highway 138.

"The weather is coming at us fast and furious with a new system every couple of days," the National Weather Service told Patch on Thursday.
