Hoosiers On SI sat down with new Indiana basketball Darian DeVries on Friday. One topic was how he embraces the Indiana tradition.

"Right now it's about putting a staff and a roster together," DeVries said. "Certainly it's been well received. Everybody is excited about Indiana basketball. As you know, it's one of the biggest brands in this sport. We're excited about assembling this group and looking forward to seeing what it looks like when it all comes out in the end."

The 6-foot-8 Mgbako, who chose IU over Kansas after decommitting from Duke, played two seasons for the Hoosiers, appearing in 65 games and starting 64. He averaged 12.2 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting 41.5% from the field and 32.8% from beyond the arc.
