Flint Community Schools will use the money combined with funding from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation to close four buildings, while building a high school and upgrading existing buildings.

In total, the program has raised more than $100 million. Backers include the Flint-based Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, among others.
