This article contains major spoilers for the ending of “Captain America: Brave New World,” now playing in theaters. Captain America has saved the world once again but he still has one more mission ahead of time: reassembling the Avengers.

Brave New World has one post-credits scene that explains how Captain America 4 connects to future Avengers movies.

“This isn’t an instruction manual for the current president,” he said. “It’s simply a story about a group of people in tight suits who can fly, as part of the wonderful imagination that the Marvel Cinematic Universe provides. It’s primarily an escape from reality.”
