A 33-year-old man is facing felony charges after a police chase in Warren ended in a crash that injured a police officer and the man's 12-year-old daughter.

Brooks' 12-year-old daughter was a passenger in his vehicle, a silver Cadillac sedan, during the crash. She was hospitalized with minor injuries. Warren police said in a statement on Friday they had notified child protective services, "as it is virtually unprecedented for officers to encounter a fleeing suspect with their own child in the car."

A 33-year-old suspect was arrested after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop and running a red light at Eight Mile and Mound, striking two vehicles. The police officer giving chase was involved in a secondary uninvolved crash just north of Eight Mile.
