Guard Sarah Ashlee Barker was selected Monday night with the ninth pick of the first round by the Los Angeles Sparks. Barker, the daughter of former Crimson Tide quarterback Jay Barker, spent three years in Tuscaloosa despite beginning her collegiate career at Georgia.
