Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the University District that left one man dead late Saturday night. At approximately 10:00 p.m., Seattle Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the 4500 block of Brooklyn Avenue NE.

Detectives took him to SPD headquarters for an interview. They are working to determine what circumstances led to the incident.

SEATTLE - A 31-year-old man was killed in a late Saturday shooting in Seattle’s University District. Now, homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting on the 4500 block of Brooklyn Avenue NE. Police and medics responded to multiple 911 calls but were unable to save the man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene, according to the Seattle Police Department. He remained in custody Sunday.
