Assistant coach Twila Kilgore is leaving the U.S. women’s national team to pursue other opportunities. U.S. Soccer announced Kilgore’s departure on Tuesday.

Twila Kilgore, who served as the United States women's national team's interim coach for nearly nine months ahead of the arrival of head coach Emma Hayes in May, has left U.S. Soccer.

Hayes became the 10th full-time head coach for the U.S. Women’s National Team after leading the Chelsea FC Women for the last 11 seasons. Assistant coach Twila Kilgore is leaving the U.S. women's national team to pursue other opportunities.
