OXFORD — Coach Chris Beard is not leaving Ole Miss basketball. Beard, who has been the coach at Ole Miss for two seasons, is not taking a job coaching at Texas A&M, On3 reported Wednesday. The opening in College Station was created when Buzz Williams left to become coach at Maryland.

The Texas A&M Aggies will reportedly have to continue their coaching search elsewhere after reportedly having eyes on Oxford, Miss. Per reports from ESPN's Pete Thamel, Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard will be staying with the Rebels despite speculation that he could be the top candidate to replace Buzz Williams in College Station.
