The Rays found a place to play for the 2025 season without having to go too far — Tampa’s George M. Steinbrenner Field, the spring training home of the rival New York Yankees. The Rays had been looking for an interim home since Hurricane Milton caused extensive damage to Tropicana Field last month.

The team needed to find an alternate home ballpark after Tropicana Field sustained major damage from Hurricane Milton.

As the Tampa Bay Rays begin to gather information for their 2025 season at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, the most unpredictable and challenging element will most likely be weather.
