The International Cricket Council (ICC) is facing criticism for its perceived unfair treatment of Pakistan, the host nation for the upcoming Champions Trophy. Reports suggest that the ICC's handling of the trophy tour announcement has revealed a lack of regard for the host country.

“BCCI secretary Shah has objected to the PCB’s idea to hold a Champions Trophy tour in PoK. The BCCI has no problem if the tour is conducted in any other city of Pakistan or even in a stadium outside PoK or in a mall. But they cannot hold it in PoK,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying by IE.

India has now emerged as alternate hosts for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 if Pakistan doesn't agree to 'hybrid model' and decide to pull out of the event.
