Vice President Kamala Harris has won the popular vote in New York over former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race, CBS News projects, and with it the state's 28 electoral votes. CBS New York is tracking the results in each county, and you can see how your area voted below.

Of the counties with nearly complete results, more than 90 percent shifted in favor of former President Donald J. Trump in the 2024 presidential election. The map below shows how votes cast in this race compare with votes cast in the 2020 presidential election in the same area. Only areas that have reported almost all of their votes are shown.

Most upstate New York counties voted for Donald Trump on Tuesday, though Kamala Harris won in the places where most people live: the areas around Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany and Ithaca. Harris won big in places like Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens. Trump won on Long Island and Staten Island.

As of Wednesday morning, unofficial results show Trump won back several counties in New York that he had lost in the 2020 election against Joe Biden.
