Record-breaking levels of smog in India and Pakistan are visible from space and posing a health risk to millions. Meanwhile, in Australia, an emperor penguin found on a tourist beach miles from home is getting the royal treatment.

The satellite images show an extremely heavy grey smog over Pakistan. It stretches into northern parts of India, albeit is lighter than the one over its neighbouring country.
