The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Dhule Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Akola, Amravati and Buldhana districts and an orange alert for the adjoining Raigad and Palghar districts due to the forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Heavy rain is likely in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Patna, Jehanabad, Madhubani and Bhojpur districts, IMD's bulletin said.
