After a dose of rain early next week, the forecast for Southeast Texas is looking lovely if you have outdoor plans with your valentine on Feb. 14.

Sunday will be slightly warmer, but still delightful. Expect sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s. Sunday is our first sunset in the 6PM hour since November 2nd. Hooray for longer days!

Expect two more very warm days with highs in the low to mid 80s Friday and mid 80s on Saturday. A cold front will get closer, but isn't expected to make it as far south as the Houston area, so the main effects will be a better chance for scattered showers.

Look for partly sunny skies with areas of fog each morning. Fog will be thickest around the coast with patchy fog farther inland up to Houston. Temperatures the next few days will once again soar to the 80s during the afternoon which is about 15° above normal for this time of February.
