Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic knows he and Anthony Davis will always be compared but wished him well with the Dallas Mavericks.

On a very emotional night for Luka Dončić in his return to Dallas for the first time since the Mavericks traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers, he received words of encouragement after the game from Anthony Davis when they met on the court. After the Lakers' 112-97 win over the Mavs, Davis told reporters about his message to Dončić.

However, one of Davis' former teammates believes the Chicago native is "damaged goods" now. Appearing on Shannon Sharpe's "Night Cap Podcast," Patrick Beverley took several shots at Davis, calling the one-time NBA champion "a bag of potatoes" and "damaged goods."
