On the Maple Leafs side of the puck, they will be without superstar Auston Matthews for a sixth straight game. The center has 11 points in 13 games for the 2024-25 season. The Oilers will be without Viktor Arvidsson for another game.

Despite those wins, the Oilers are struggling on the penalty kill. Edmonton has given up at least one power-play goal in six of their last eight games and has killed off just 66% of their penalties, which is still higher than the season kill rate of 62.8%.

Auston Matthews is expected to miss his sixth consecutive game due to an upper-body injury, but there still should be plenty of fireworks in a marquee matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers.
