The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for Arya Maldonado, 3, and Alana Maldonado, 2, who were reported missing from Hanford, California.

An Amber Alert has been deactivated after two children, who were taken from a home in California's Kings County after their mother was found killed, have been found alive, officials said Thursday.

Authorities believe the girls’ father, who is said to be armed and dangerous, fled to Mexico with his daughters.
