The last time Timberwolves coach Chris Finch coached a game at Phoenix’s Footprint Center, he didn’t finish the game after Mike Conley crashed into him and ruptured his patellar tendon in Game 4 of last season’s playoffs.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns renewed their rivalry on Wednesday night in a rematch of the first round of last season’s playoffs. The two teams were going back and forth for most of the night in Phoenix before the Timberwolves turned the tide in an unexpected way.

Head coach Chris Finch was ejected in the third quarter after picking up his second technical foul, forcing Anthony Edwards to step in and hold back his furious coach before things escalated further.
