Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey is appealing a judge's decision to pause the state's law that requires people to wait three days before buying a gun.

While the Maine Attorney General's Office appeals a federal judge's decision to put the state's three-day waiting period for gun purchases on hold, it is also asking the court to put a hold on the preliminary injunction.

Attorney General Aaron Frey is appealing U.S. District Judge Lance Walker's order from last week, which suspended a new waiting period law for buying firearms.
