Mayor Eric Adams announced Friday plans to build 1,500 new homes and invest in the reconstruction of the historic Riegelmann Boardwalk in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

An 80,000-square-foot site located on Surf Avenue between West 21st and West 22nd Streets will eventually get 500 mixed-income homes.

The city is moving ahead with a plan to bring thousands of mixed-income homes, new retail, and boardwalk and street improvements to Coney Island.
