The Royal Bahamas Police Force said two American women were bitten by a shark while touring the country's Bimini district.

Police are investigating after two female American tourists were apparently involved in a shark attack at a popular Bahamas resort over the weekend.

The two female tourists were swimming in Bimini Bay on Friday around 6:30 p.m. when they were injured in a suspected shark attack, police said.
