Students at Athens High put their aviation skills to the test on Friday by launching their homemade hot air balloons.

Colorado Springs School of Technology Principal Nathan Gorsch said the innovation school will help launch students into the tech field and fill the demand for high-tech workers in Colorado Springs.

But it’s a two-way partnership. The League-Kempner House, 1702 Broadway, is under renovation to restore it to its 1893 roots.
