If you aren't a fan of rum, you can substitute the rum for bourbon or flavored ... candy coating and then roll the pretzel ...

but I found it tasted more like apple-flavored candy than apple juice. It lacked any sort of tang, and in my opinion, it wasn't refreshing. Snapple's fruit punch was much too sweet for me.
