23andMe data breach victims to benefit from $30 million settlement
(Gray News) - Genetic testing company 23andMe has agreed to pay $30 million to people impacted by a data breach last year. The settlement comes after a class action lawsuit was brought against the company in October. “Threat actors” used about 14,000 accounts to access the ancestry data of 6.9 million connected profiles.
