The No. 13 Oklahoma Sooners' women’s basketball team will be put to the test on Thursday night as they square off against the No. 7 LSU Lady Tigers. The Sooners got back on track with an 86-55 victory against Georgia on Sunday after a humbling 101-60 loss to a No.

Utah transfer Abigale Dayton joined sophomores Ella Parker and Kasidi Pickering as Oklahoma’s honorees. Both Pickering and Parker were voted as Preseason First Team All-Americans by Softball America and D1Softball, and Dayton earned Preseason Second Team All-American recognition from both publications.

To preview Saturday’s contest, I spoke with the Commodores' Hoops Voice, Kevin Ingram. Craig: It seems from a far that this has been a well balanced team from an offensive production standpoint. Am I correct in that assessment?

One of the Sooner standouts was defensive back Billy Bowman Jr., who is scheduled to play in Saturday's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. Bowman Jr. got a shoutout from the Oklahoma Sooners' official X account on Wednesday as his stellar play began turning heads during practice.

The Sooners' schedule is tough. It will be one of the more difficult slates in 2025. But there's no guarantee that the teams on their schedule will be as good as they were in 2024. Oklahoma, on the other hand, should be significantly improved as their offense gets much better under Arbuckle and Mateer.

The Texas A&M Aggies seem to have officially put the memories of their nightmarish trip to Austin behind them. No. 13 Texas A&M used a monstrous effort on the glass and bounced back from its loss to the Texas Longhorns with a 75-68 win over the Oklahoma Sooners in College Station on Tuesday.

The Georgia Bulldogs have extended a scholarship offer to Oklahoma Sooners quarterback commitment Jaden O'Neal, who is ranked as a four-star quarterback recruit in the class of 2026. Georgia is looking for a quarterback commitment in the 2026 recruiting cycle after five-star quarterback Jared Curtis decommitted from UGA.

The Oklahoma Sooners used to be known for their elite offense. However, under Brent Venables this last year, they had a terrible offense, one of the worst in the country, and an elite defense, one of the best in the country.
