The Calgary Flames continue to battle for a playoff spot in 2024-25, but Nazem Kadri remains one of the team's top trade chips.

The Calgary Flames continue to hunt for the playoffs in the Western Conference. They sit in the second wild card spot but have come off the pace they set earlier in the season.

The Calgary Flames forward pointed to his mother and waved to her after he scored a goal against the Anaheim Ducks during the team’s Moms Trip at the Honda Center. With the game tied 1-1 in the second period, Kadri tipped in a shot while crashing towards the net to give the Flames the lead.

The Blues are 14th in SOG goals allowed and while they don't take a ton of penalties, they struggle to stop opposing power plays when they do, operating at a 73.87% success rate (7th-worst in the NHL). Kadri, who skates on the top PP unit, will be hungry to help Calgary bounce back here.

Since Jan. 1, the Flames have scored 16 goals, ranking 26th in the league. They are now just three lamplighters shy of being in the basement of the league, a spot currently occurred by the Los Angeles Kings and Vancouver Canucks, each with 13 goals.
