North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick and school officials have signed his official employment contract, formalizing last month’s hiring after speculation that the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach might opt instead for a return to the NFL.
Bill Belichick has officially signed his North Carolina contract. The school released the text of Belichick’s deal through the end of 2029 on Thursday after the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach was announced as UNC’s head coach in December. Since his introduction, Belichick had been operating on a binding offer sheet.
The ink is officially dry on Bill Belichick’s contract with the University of North Carolina. North Carolina and Belichick finalized the employment agreement, just a day after he signed the contract. Belichick was operating under a non-binding term proposal agreement for six weeks.
Belichick gets four tickets and up to 10 additional tickets for all football games (including postseason games). Belichick also gets four tickets to all home sporting events for other sports and each other assistant coach and staff member can be provided with tickets for family members (up to four per family).
Bill Belichick will earn $10 million a year as football coach at North Carolina, with the opportunity to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars more in bonuses.
