The Karawal Nagar MLA's induction into Delhi Cabinet is being seen as “completion of his integration” into BJP fold; he had been accused of inciting Delhi riots through “inflammatory speeches”

Days after assuming charge as Minister in the Rekha Gupta led BJP government; Kapil Mishra on Saturday stated that the government will ensure the repair of roads which were neglected by the previous government.

The stage is set for the grand oath-taking ceremony of the new Delhi chief minister at the Ramlila Maidan on Thursday. BJP MLA from Shalimar Bagh assembly constituency, Rekha Gupta has been named the chief minister who will take the oath on Thursday.

Ahead of taking oath as Delhi Minister, BJP MLA-elect Kapil Mishra said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision for the national capital which will be implemented by the new government. He said this while speaking to the media after visiting a temple.

After the first cabinet meeting, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday allocated portfolios to the Ministers in the state government. The ministries have been divided among six MLAs, who were elected in the recently held Delhi assembly elections and sworn in as ministers on Thursday morning.

A senior BJP leader said the party accommodated two Purvanchali ministers in Delhi cabinet keeping in mind the Bihar elections later this year.
