Notably absent from the latest list is notorious landlord Daniel Ohebshalom, who found himself behind bars for the second time in September after failing to fix dangerous living conditions at two of his long-dilapidated apartment buildings in Washington Heights, Crain's previously reported .

While Queens landlords were mostly absent from the public advocate’s list of the city’s worst landlords released Wednesday, the borough was not without its notable offenders.

Now, we are taking a look at the landlord who ranked No. 2 on the list: Alfred Thompson. Thompson owns several buildings in Brooklyn, including two News 12 visited in Crown Heights. According to the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, he has 1,285 open HPD violations.

Williams said the list was a way of providing transparency for tenants in terms of who owns the LLC’s that oversee the buildings they live in.
