Seven states all have various winter weather-related warnings and advisories over the weekend: Alaska, California, Montana, Maine, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.

It could cause disruption on Monday evening with up to 20cm (7.9 in) on high ground, says Met Office.

Snow and ice warnings have been issued by the Met Office for late Sunday through to Tuesday. Northern areas and higher ground will be most at risk for potentially disruptive snow. Temperatures will be below the November average by Sunday with frosts expected through the coming week.
