The University of Utah has more than 80 buildings across its main campus perched on Salt Lake City’s hillside. Spread over 1,000 acres, that includes spots for engineering and chemistry.

All six members of Utah’s congressional delegation signed on to the bill seeking to preserve nearly 600 acres of federal land used for education, recreation and other purposes.
