First things first: Much respect and major admiration to Orlando Magic G-Leaguer Mac McClung’s unprecedented third straight victory in the NBA All-Star Game Dunk Contest a few nights ago. It is a testament to Mac’s incredible athleticism, creativity and his jaw-dropping jams — including jumping over a car before executing an amazing reverse flush.

Mac McClung pulled off an incredible dunk, leaping over a Kia car and slamming the ball behind his head. The stunt was reminiscent of Blake Griffin's iconic 2011 dunk, where he jumped over a Kia, receiving a lob pass from teammate Baron Davis,

Per ESPN's Shams Charania, McClung is donating the Kia to a charity in his hometown of Gate City, Va. Awesome stuff from the Memphis export, who told 76ers on SI that this iteration could possibly be his last.

The dunker has played just one NBA game for the Magic this season. McClung has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign with the Osceola Magic in the G League. The Magic guard won the contest for the third year in a row on Saturday with three perfect 50 scores. McClung jumped over a car to help him win over the judges.

The high flyer is technically on the Osceola Magic, Orlando's G League franchise. McClung made history by becoming the first player to achieve a three-peat in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

Hall of Fame small forward-turned-TNT commentator Vince Carter, who executed perhaps the coolest finish in Dunk Contest history at Oracle Arena way back in 2000, taped introductory hype videos for each player. He was clowned for his efforts at making Buzelis sound cool.
