We are a little more than two weeks into the 2024-25 MLB offseason and so far the Angels have been the most active team. They landed Jorge Soler in a salary dump trade with the Braves and signed Kyle Hendricks,

The hot stove has come to a simmer as the Atlanta Braves are rumored to have interest in free agent Walker Buehler. The 30-year-old just finished his seventh season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he put together a 1-6 record over 16 starts.

Perhaps Buehler can also rediscover his best form in the ATL. The 30-year-old righty might actually be less of a risk than Sale was last offseason, given the important role he played in helping the Los Angeles Dodgers win a championship.

The Mets were early adopters of NPB starting pitchers. Masato Yoshii was a rotation regular for the 1998 and 1999 Mets. At that point, only Hideo Nomo, Hideki Irabu and (briefly) Shigetoshi Hasegawa had started an MLB game in 35 years.
