The Hoosiers (13-4; 4-2 Big Ten) are coming off a 25-point loss to Iowa that was most lopsided Big Ten regular season loss of Woodson's tenure. It was the program's fifth loss of 20 points of more and 12th loss by 15 or more points in 31 conference games under Woodson.

IU was run out of the gym for the second straight game and lost at home to Illinois, 94-69. At one point in the first half, Illinois went on a 42-14 run. At halftime, IU trailed 60-32. Chants of “Fire Woodson” were heard throughout Assembly Hall when IU was losing 45-20

It was Indiana's second consecutive loss by 25 after an 85-60 road defeat at the hands of Iowa on Saturday. All five of IU's losses this season have come by at least 16 points.
