Ferguson and Guilherme were both dragged following a disappointing first 45 minutes for the Hammers, who lost 1-0 at Molineux. West Ham enjoyed periods of possession in the first half but Ferguson missed a good early chance and Wolves went ahead through Jorgen Strand Larsen’s deflected strike.

Evan Ferguson’s first start for West Ham did not go to plan as the Republic of Ireland star was substituted at half-time of the 1-0 defeat to Wolves. In January, the Meath native joined the Hammers on loan from Brighton for the remainder of the Premier League season.

There have been few positives this season, but Fullkrug's belated return offers hope that he will be the forward West Ham have long desired.
